Children Lines in Palmistry

Children lines are fine vertical lines that rise from or above the marriage line, under the little finger.

Traditional meaning

These lines are traditionally linked with children or with the ability to nurture. Clear, straight lines are linked with healthy, strong relationships with children.

Interpretation

  • Thicker lines were traditionally linked with sons and thinner lines with daughters, though modern palmists treat this as folklore.
  • Many lines can show a person who loves and cares for children, such as a teacher or doctor.

Modern view

Many palmists today read these lines as a sign of nurturing energy rather than an exact count of children. Family planning is shaped by choice, health and circumstances.
