Planets rule directions
Each direction is linked with a planet: the Sun with east, Venus with south-east, Mars with south, Rahu with south-west, Saturn with west, the Moon with north-west, Mercury with north and Jupiter with north-east. A defect in a direction is believed to weaken its planet for the people living there.
Reading both together
- If Jupiter is weak in your horoscope, keep the north-east very clean and use it for prayer.
- If Saturn troubles you, avoid clutter and heavy dirt in the west and keep the area well maintained.
- A weak Venus calls for a clean, well-organised south-east and a happy kitchen.
- A strong Mars is supported by a solid, heavy south.
Choosing a home with your chart
Some astrologers suggest an entrance that matches a favourable planet in your chart. For example, an east entrance supports a person whose Sun is a helpful planet. Your Moon sign can also guide favourable directions for sleeping and working.
