- Units in the north-east of the building are generally the most favoured.
- Units in the north, east and north-west are also good.
- South-west units are suitable for those seeking stability, provided the flat's own layout is good.
Choosing the floor
Vaastu does not strongly favour any floor, but some consultants match floor numbers to the owner's numerology or horoscope. Practical points matter more: good light, ventilation and an open view in the north and east.
Things to check
- The flat's entrance direction.
- No lift shaft or staircase directly in front of the door.
- No overhead water tank or heavy machinery above the north-east of the flat.
- Regular shape without major cuts.
- Good morning sunlight.
Penthouse and top floors
Top floors get plenty of light and air. Ensure that heavy structures like water tanks on the roof are not above your north-east.
