Rajasthan is the driest state of India and home to the infamous Thar Dessert. It is a historically and culturally rich state. Teej is the most popular and widely celebrated festival of Rajasthan. There is a grand practice in which the golden idol of Goddess Teej is taken across the city with decorated elephants, horses, & camels. Another popular and major festival of Rajasthan is the Kite Festival in Jaipur and Jodhpur. It is celebrated around Makar Sakranti every year with an abundance of tourists from all over the world.
