This award was presented to Pramukh Swami Maharaj who was the spiritual leader of BAPS (Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan) Sanstha on 17th December, 2007.

But there is many more attraction inside the complex. Visitor would need to get a ticket to enjoy the theatre. But the senior citizen as well as children will have to pay a 50% only in order to watch the theatre.

Neelkantha Kalyan Yatra is the Delhi’s only large screen theatre. Yagnapurush Kund is the India’s largest step well. There has a musical cascade. Bharat Upavan is a nice garden which has bronze sculptures of freedom fighters. Yogi Harday Kamal is the hollow garden which consists of the famous thinkers quotes like Martin Luther King, Swami Vivekananda.

Description: People visiting the complex of Akshardham will be able to carry on with boating activities. It is a large theatre where 6000 people can watch the show at a stretch. The premises of the temple are bigger than the show theatre as a sum of 25,000 visitors can visit the place without any hesitation.

Again some parts are taken from the Somnath temple of Gujarat and the last inspiration is taken from the konark temple of Orissa.
