Best placement
Place the locker or safe in the south-west of the room, against the south or west wall, so that it opens towards the north. North is ruled by Kubera, the lord of wealth.
Do's
- Keep the locker raised slightly above the floor on a stand.
- Keep some cash, gold or silver in it at all times; never leave it completely empty.
- Place a small mirror inside, reflecting the valuables, as a sign of growth.
- Keep a picture or idol of Goddess Lakshmi or Kubera nearby.
- Keep it clean and organised.
Don'ts
- Do not place the locker in the north-east.
- Avoid placing it under a beam or staircase.
- Do not keep it in the toilet or next to the toilet wall.
- Avoid keeping old bills, broken items or dirty papers inside.
In shops and offices
The cash box or cash counter should be in the south-west or south, opening towards the north or east.
