Vastu Plot or Land Tips

One of the most challenging tasks is building a good house, which starts with finding a good plot. Once you find a plot, you need to verify whether it follows Vaastu rules. Here are a few important factors to consider when selecting good land.

Soil Test: Soil that is white in colour, smells of lotus, and supports greenery is considered the best.
Red-coloured soil is also good, but if it smells like blood, it should be avoided.
Yellow or pale-coloured soil with a pungent smell should be avoided. Soil testing is also important for designing the house with proper load-bearing considerations.

Location: The location and its surroundings directly affect us, so this is an important factor when selecting a plot for building a house.

One should not buy land where the previous occupants suffered from prolonged sickness, or where anyone left the house or took their own life for some reason.
The soil of the land should not contain bones or skeletons. If there is a house that has been heavily damaged by fire, rain, or storm, that plot should be avoided.
If the land falls between two tall buildings, it should also be avoided.
If the plot is at a T-junction, it should be avoided. There should not be any cemetery, graveyard, or tomb adjacent to the plot.
There should not be a temple or any religious place in front of the plot. If the plot lies in the shadow of a tall building, temple, or tree for most of the day, it should be avoided.

Plot Facing: Plots that face north or east are considered the best. The plot should be higher on the south and west sides and should slope down towards the north-east corner.

Plot Shape: The shape of the plot is one of the most important factors. Here is a list of plot shapes and their effects.

Road Side: A plot that is adjacent to roads on all four sides is the most valuable, as it brings wealth, good health, and a peaceful family life.
It is inauspicious if there are roads only on the east, south, and west.
If there are roads only on the east and north sides, that is good.
Roads on the north, south, and west are also not very favourable.
