Navin Nischol was born on 11 th April, 1946 in Lahore now Punjab and died on 19 th March, 2011 to C.L.Nischol and Kamala Nischol. He studied from Bangalore Military School and was the first student to receive gold medal from FTII. He married two times to Neelu Kapur and Geetanjali. He debuted from Sawan Bhadonn in 1970. But he became popular from the television seires Dekh Bhai Dekh. Some of his best performances are Hanste Zakham, Dhund, Zorro and Victoria No. 203. He also acted in some Punjabi films. He was once known as the Poor Man s Rajesh Khanna.
