The old Byomkesh Bakshi (winner of the national award for best actor) of the Indian television, Rajat Kapoor was born on 22 nd May, 1960 in Amritsar. He studied from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics. In 1986 he debuted with the television series Ghar Jamai and his first film was Suraj Ka Satvan Ghoda in 1992. Some of his works are Yugantar, Kick, URI, Raazi etc. He also appeared for several stage acts like Mahua, Flowers etc, some of the Television series are TVF-Tripling, Star Bestsellers etc. He won National Award as best actor for The Making of Mahatma in 1996.
