Born on 11 th Feb, 1961 Rajat Kapoor is a delhi boy who joined FTII Pune. But before that he enrolled himself for a theatre group called Chingari in 1983. He married Meenal Agharwal and has two children. He got limelight from Monsoon Weeding and Dil Chahta Hai. He scripted Private Detective in 1997, directed Raghu Romeo in 2003, and produced Raat Gayi Baat Gayi in 2009. He also hosted a television show for Nat Geo on NDTV. His last delivery for Kapoor and Sons were much appreciated. He won the national award twice for Tarana and Hypnothesis which were both of his creations.
