Before joining the film industry she was Miss Surat in 1998 and then she was featured in some ad features but her film Gemini in 2002 grabbed the eyes of the audience. She was also featured in Azhagiya and Billa. She was chosen as the most beautiful actress of India by the Tokyo TV. There is a temple built by her fan to immortalize her image.
