He debuted in film with Pardes with Shahrukh Khan, winning him critical appreciation.He also starred in films like Pyaar Koi Khel Nahin, Krodh, Kasoor, Pyaar Diwana Hota Hai, Dhund, Lakeer. He switched to television when he was offered the role of Armaan Suri in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin. It won him several awards including Indian Telly Awards for Best Actor, 2005. He went on to act in series like Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh, Saubhagyalaxmi, Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 1 and 2. He also appeared in Bigg Boss 7.
