Warangal city is located in the Warangal Urban and Warangal Rural districts of the state of Telangana in India and is also known as the Tri City. The city has been placed on the Deccan Plateau with the Kakatiya Canal flowing through it and is comprised of several rocky hills like the Padmakshi Hill and the Govinda Rajula Gutta while there are also three lakes, Bhadrakali, Dharmasagar and Waddepally. The economy of Warangal is largely dependent on agriculture while also being the second largest market for grain in Asia.
