Rajahmundry city is in the East Godavari district of the state of Andhra Pradesh in India and is known as the Cultural Capital of Andhra Pradesh. Sri Umakotilingeswara Swamy Sri Sitarama Swamy Temple and the House of Peace Danavaipet are the most prominent religious shrines in the city. The backbone of the economy of Rajahmundry depends on floriculture, tourism and the sale of precious stones.
