Beau Bassin Rose Hill town is in the Plaines Wilhems district in Mauritius and is the third largest settlement on this island country. The town is quite near to the Indian Ocean and adjacent to Port Louis and has a sloping landscape located on a plateau. There is a large Christian population in the town and the most prominent places of worship are the Notre Dame De Fatima, the Full Gospel Church of God, the Soonee Mosque, the Vinayak Mandir, the Tulsi Sham Mandir, the Notre Dame de Lourdes, the Arul Tharum Kali Parasakthi Kovil & Shivopasack and the Chinmaya Mission. Beau Bassin Rose Hill is a well known trade centre and a principal place for shopping in its many markets.
