He started his career from the film Amar prem in 1972. As a producer his works are Anubhav, Daraar, Champion etc. mostly he appeared on the screen as negative characters. He also starred in number of bhogpuri films ans was reffered as the first superstar. He appeared in more than 150 Hindi films in his career and over 25 bhojpuri films. He died on 5 th Feb, 2010.
