Rasika Joshi was born on 12th September 1972. She was a prominent figure in the Marathi theatre as well as the film industry. She was also known to portray Marathi characters in Hindi movies. She debuted on stage with Uncha Mazha Zoka by Lata Narverkar. She debuted in Hindi film with Ek Hasina Thi. After that, she went on to star in films like Billu, Dhol, Gayab, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Malamaal Weekly, De Taali, Vaastu Shastra, Darna Zaruri Hai, etc. She also acted in Marathi series like Ghadlay Bighadlay,Yeh Duniya Hai Rangeen(1999), Bua Alaa, etc. She acted in the character of Tarulata in Hindi series Bandini. She died of leukemia on 7th July 2011.
