Indian film director, singer, screenwriter and producer, Raj Khosla was born on 31 st May, 1925 in Punjab. his career started working for All India Radio and as assistant director. His directorial debut was Milap, 1954. He died on 9 th June, 1991. His daughter founded The Raj Khosla Foundation in his memory. He won the Filmfare awards for Mein Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki, 1979 and Do Raaste, 1970. The Indian Government published postal stamps to honour his works in 2013. He won the Russian Film Critics award for Prem Kahani in 1975. He is known to bring Neo-Noir to the Indian movies and is called as the Woman s Director.
