Rahul Dev Burman was born on 27th June 1939. He was regarded as one of the iconic music director and composer in the golden era of Indian Film Industry. He is the only son of famed composer Sachin Dev Barman. He is fondly remembered as Panchamda. Throughput his lifetime, he has scored songs for 331+films with singers like Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle(his wife), Kishore Kumar, Mohammad Rafi, etc. He got his first break as an independent composer in Mehemods Chote Nawab. His eminent compositions are Musafir Hu Yaroon, Yeh Shaam Mastaani, Dum Maaro Dum, Kya Hua Tera Wada, etc. His last composition was the music of film 1942: A Love Story (1994).
