The former actress and now the Jewellery Designer, Nelam Kothari was born on 9 th Nov, 1969 in Hong Kong to Paveen and Shishir Kothari. She went to Island School and debuted in Jawaani 1984. But the audience became aware of her performance in Ilzaam.some of the films of Neelam are Khudgarz, Hatya, Aag Hi Aag, etc. But her role as the sister in Hum Saath Saath Hain (where she was charged with poaching of Black Buck) and Kuch Kuch Hota Hain made her the household name. She married actor Samir Soni and adopted a daughter. Her business is called Neelam jewels.
