Madal Lal Puri also known as Maddie Uncle was one of the villains of the Indian film industry, born on 30 th Sept, 1919 at Punjab to parents Ved Kaur and Nihal Chand Puri. He married Sheela Devi and has three children. He starred in more than 430 films with over 50 years of his film career. His debut film was Ahinsa, 1946. Some of his works are China Town, Naya Daur, Kashmir Ki Kali, Kati Patang etc. and his last work was Santosh in 1989. He died on 13 th Jan, 1985. His son published a book of him named My Father, The Villain.
