The Bengali and Hindi film and television actor Joy Sengupta was born on 14 th Dec, 1968 in Kolkata. He studied from Delhi University and diploma in theatre from The Living Theatre Academy under Ebrahim Alkazi. Some of his best works are Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa in 1998 with which he made his debut to the Hindi film, Hate Story, Bhalo Theko, Aladin, Children of War, Biday Byomkesh etc. The recent work is Sacred Games as the character Mathur. He also dubbed few of the international movies like The Avengers, SpiderMan, Captain Marvel etc. He married Tara Sengupta.
