Deepak Parashar was born on 2 nd April, 1952 in Pune to parents Shobha and Vishvanath Parashar. He began his career as a model and became the first Mr. India in 1976 and was modelled for then Vimal Suiting. Before entering Bollywood he worked as assistant director in Ankur, Bhumika and Night s End. His debut film was Insaf Ka Tarazu in 1980. His best performance was the film Nikahh and appeared for the popular television seires Swabhiman as Mahendra Malhotra. He also produced a film called Accha Bura in 1983. He is married to Sarita Parashar and has a child.
