Charmy was born on 17 th May, 1987 in Mumbai to father Deep Singh Uppal. She studied from Carmelite Convent English High School. She has the production company called Puti Connects. Her debut film was Nee Thodu Kavali at was at the age of 16. Her best performances are Rakhi, Mantra (2007) and Mangala (2012) (both won Nandi Awards). Her Bollywood debut was Mujhse Dosti Karoge.
