He debuted from Phir Mohabbat of Murder2 Hindi and Khedi in 2010 (Telugu) and he participated in Fame Gurukul in 2005. He married Koel Roy Singh and has three children. He runs an NGO named Let There Be Light. He also directed two films called Bhalobasar Rojnamcha and Sa. He won many awards including Filmfare, GiMA, IIFA, Wizcraft music award etc. His popularity is also equal in the Bengali film industry.
