She acted mostly in negative and comic characters like Raja Hindustani, Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, Agneepath, Sriman Srimati etc. She made her debut in television from Karamchand in 1985. She married Permeet Sethi and has two sons. She had judged some comedy shows like Kapil Sharma Show and Comedy Circus.
