She debuted from the film Prem Geet in 1981 as Shikha. She is a trained Kathak dancer from her guru Gopi Krishna. Some of her notable works are Zara Si Zindagi as Kusum in 1983, masterji as Sobha in 1985, Zameen Aasmaan as Anita in 1984.
