Born as Rajiv Bhatia, Akshay Kumar (Padma Shri in 2009) is the Indian highest paid actor turned producer and martial artist was born on 9 th Sept, 1967 in Amritsar to Hari Om and Aruna Bhatia. He studied from Don Bosco School but dropped out of Guru Nanak Khalsa College. He is a black belt in Taekwondo from Thailand and worked as chef and as assistant to a photographer. His debut film as lead was Deedar in 1992. He married Twinkle Khanna and has two children. He won national award for his films Airlift and Rustam both released in 2016 and other awards.
