Rituparna Sengupta was born on 7 November 1971. She is an actress noteworthy for her work in Bengali, Hindi and Bangladeshi Film Industry. She began her career with the television series Sada Paira(1989). She got a big break in Prabhat Roys movie Shwet Patharer Thala(1992) which went on to win National Award. She subsequently went on to star in films opposite Prasenjit and Chiranjeet. Her films include Teesra Kaun? (1994), Aakrosh (1998), Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh (2005), Gauri: The Unborn( 2007), Nagpanchami (1994), Abujh Mon (1996), Matribhumi (1997), Chaturanga (2008), Muktodhara( 2012), Kathaveedu (2013), etc.
