Nandana Sen was born on 19th August 1967. She is an Indian actress known for her distinctive role with political and social undertones. She is the daughter of Nobel-laureate economist Amartya Sen and popular writer Nabanita Dev Sen. She too is a prolific writer and child-rights activist. She debuted in Bollywood was in Black as Rani Mukherjees sister. She also starred in Ketan Sharmas critically acclaimed film Rang Raasiya(2008) based on life of 19th Century painter Raja Ravi Varma, Goutam Ghoses Gudia, Tango Charlie(2005), My Wife Murder(2005), Marigold(2007, Prince;(2010). Her series include Sharpe, The World Unseen, The War Within, etc.
