Main Entrance:
The main door of the house must be built from a high quality of wood. It must be

It must face towards the North East.
Shoe Rack:
The footwear and shoes must be kept at the Southern Western part of the verandah.
It must not be placed in the sleeping room.
Almirah:
Almirah must be kept at the Southern Western side of room. If there is any precious
thing then the ideal location you keep them is at the Southern Western portion of
Southern Western room of the house.
Bed:
Beds and folding bed must be kept at the Southern Western side of room. Don’t keep
them at the corner of room. You must sleep keeping the head at the Southern direction
for sleep and well heath. It may heal your sleeplessness.
Couches:
The sofa must be placed at the Southern and Western side of living room. The head
of the family must be seated facing at the Southern or Western side.
Dining Room:
Dinner room must be at the Eastern, Southern or Western part of house. Coloring
the walls with orange or pink may excite your taste. Dinner room may be a separated
room or adjacent to the cooking room. It must be located at the Northern Western
of the cooking room.
Study Table:
You may place your study room at the Southern Western side of room. One must face
at the Northern or Eastern side while reading. Study table must be rectangular of
medium size. You must maintain at least a gap of three inches from the wall.
Wardrobe:
The wardrobe of bedroom must be between 2 lines on the wall. It gives you space
in the room and makes the bedroom airy and spick and span. The wardrobes must be
located at the Southern or Western side.
Mirrors:
Never keep a mirror in the study room. It must not be placed at the reverse of the
bed in bedroom. Only place for placing the mirror is on the Eastern or Northern
walls.
Paint Colour:
The colour has the strength to change your frame of mind. Don’t use Grey or black
or red colours at the main entrance of house. Sky blue, deep green or white colours
bring encouraging power to your family.
Plants within the house:
Don’t keep bristly plants inside your house. Bonsai tree or red flower tree must
not be placed in house. Northern Eastern side is not good for planting tree. Keep
away the pot along the Eastern or Northern walls.
Paintings and Statues:
Weighty statue, overfed animal, colouring with terrifying marks and malevolence
substances must be kept away. Bad drawing with insensitive colours will bring harmful
power in house. Ramayana or Mahabharata portrays must be kept away from the house
though other mythical drawings may be used for interior designing. Don’t place statue
of god in the bedroom. Drawings of nature sights, temples are suggested by Vastu
for well health and pleasant living.
