Cooking should be done facing the Eastern side as it is believed to be fortunate. You must not have any door behind you when you cook. According to the Vastu for kitchen room, Northern Eastern, middle North, Middle West, Southern Western, middle South and the middle of the house should be avoided.

It is always remembered that the stove must not be seen from the outside of the kitchen room. It may cause the problem for digestion for the members of the family. One more thing is to be remembered that sink and tap must not be close to cooking place as water and fire drive against each other.

The dishwasher must be placed at the Northern Western side of the kitchen room. Drinking water must be located at Northern Eastern direction of the kitchen room.

Storage is an important thing of a kitchen room. Cabinets should be used for keeping light things.

Storage is also a very important aspect of the kitchen.

If you have enlarged storage capacity, you should use them as it keeps the kitchen neat and clean. If the kitchen contains overhead storage closets, you should avoid them over the cooking place. When you construct kitchen, you must ensure about the ventilation.
